MINISTRY SAMPLES
Social Media Development
I took two separate churches from little to no social media presence to very active pages on several platforms. Those platforms included, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and Vimeo. After the platforms were created I developed the philosophy for how those accounts would be used by several staff members, and supervised part-time staff members who maintained the platforms.
Leadership Retreats
Above is an example of a Leadership Retreat I led over a half-day period with the leaders of Christ Presbyterian Church. The retreat included a 60-slide PowerPoint with 6 breakout projects (3 Small Group discussion-oriented assignments and 3 group exercises that ranked the values and characteristics of the church). The audience for this Leadership Retreat was the Session of the church. At a later date I shared a 15-slide version with the Diaconate team, and finally, a 5-slide summary with the church at the Annual Congregation Meeting.

Philosophy of Ministry Example
In 2012 I took over leading the Adult Education Ministry at Centerpoint. I redesigned the philosophy of that ministry, developed a new team of teachers, and in a few short years, grew the ministry from 6-8 classes a year to 20+ classes a year with two annual seminars and an annual best practices training. Curriculum Project Example
I developed a large curriculum planning resource for discipleship in churches. My goal was to create six core classes with break-off electives for churches that were reaching a more mobile congregation. Click the phrase "Vintage Faith" to download a PDF of this curriculum approach.
Concert Projects
I worked with “Current Talent Agency" in booking, organizing, and hosting several concerts. Some of the concerts included Dove Award winning artists. Each concert had 160-240 people in attendance, with at least half of the audience being guests from outside the church. The artists included John Mark McMillan, Derek Webb, Future of Forestry, Jude Moses, among others.
Worship Media Slide Examples
As part of my oversight of the College Ministry at Centerpoint, I supervised the College Worship Director. In an effort to further increase the quality of the worship experience I developed 30 different custom worship slide sets for ProPresenter. Church Branding Projects
I helped Centerpoint Community Church move through an entire rebranding. The left image was the old name and logo design, the right image was the new name and logo design. I was not present for the name change discussions, but myself with one other Elder guided the interview processes for a designer and also guided the design process.
I helped Christ Presbyterian Church rebrand by leading a three-person team who worked with an outside professional designer. We incorporated the Session and the staff in a three-month process, moving from six design choices to the one shown. Our goal was to find a design that was traditional, modern, and friendly. I also helped take key leadership teams through an entire website redesign, moving them from ShareFaith to Cloversites with the help of the same professional designer.
Campus Development Projects
As a Senior Pastor I have overseen campus development projects, including hospitality centers and new worship venues. Below is an example from Christ Presbyterian Church of a new worship venue I cast vision for and oversaw the development of with the help of several teams (buildings & grounds; worship; media).
I have also overseen the remodeling of existing worship spaces. Below is an example of a Sanctuary remodel project at Christ Presbyterian Church that was completed with the work of several teams (buildings & grounds; worship; and media).
Virtual Ministry Projects
Working with IT and Media teams I led a church into a robust virtual worship ministry that offered several live-streaming weekly worship services utilizing two PTZ Optics camera systems with pro joysticks. I personal designed all the visual transition templates used within the virtual worship services, creating slides for each message series. I designed the slides with Adobe InDesign. Below is an example of part of the PTZ Optics camera system that was used.
In addition to developing virtual worship services, I trained staff to lead weekly adult education courses filmed on green screens with interactive Power Points that were live-streamed on the church Facebook Page. I trained staff in how to use Open Broadcaster Software (OBS Studio), and I led several classes on green screens. Below is an example of a mobile green screen studio I designed for this need in the church office.
